Abstract
  • This memorandum makes recommendations to ensure a good standard of health among nurses. The main recommendations are: that a doctor be appointed specifically for the nursing staff; that hospitals should require a medical certificate before candidates are accepted for training, and that a medical examination is carried out shortly after acceptance to training; that living conditions should be of a standard to ensure good health and resistance to infection.
