Abstract
  • This paper is addressed to a wide range of people concerned with the provision of care for people with learning difficulties their families. It is the result of research among parents whose adult sons and daughters with learning difficulties live at home, and explores their perspectives on the eventual move from the parental home. Focussing on issues surrounding the timing of this move and the nature of the provision sought, this paper should interest those responsible for managing and planning arrangements for residential care and those involved in providing support to families.
